Still have not figured out a name for this piece quite yet. Today and yesterday I used a sewing machine to create the lines on the hands and on the leaves of the apple orchards. I had my first meeting this week with my primary mentor, Charlene. She gave me some great input on manipulating the fabric whether it be dyeing, bleaching, shredding, etc. I had never really thought about doing this to fabric I already had but definitely feel ready to make changes such as these within my work. Next week I am planning on sitting in Rob’s class to learn about dyeing fabrics. This week I plan on doing some tests with bleach.
