Born in Peru, lives and works in Berlin, Germany. In the essay “Logic of Instability” by Gabriela Germaná, she states “Change is one of the main characteristics of the passage of time; change is movement and instability.” Which she finds is relatable to the work of Tania’s. I can only attest to this being related to my own work, more so in a metaphorical sense, or maybe transformation would be a better word (for my own work). Tania’s dismantled limbs in her installations become unsettling, and may even feel unfinished, also a theme being present in my own work currently. Is it finished? What is finished? When will I know when to stop?
